SARS-CoV/SARS-CoV-2 ORF7a Monoclonal Antibody for Western Blot, ICC/IF
ORF7a is a SARS-CoV accessory protein that is composed of a type I transmembrane protein that localizes primarily to the Golgi apparatus. It can also be found on the cell surface. Its exact role in pathogenesis and disease is unknown. However, it has been observed to bind to BST-2 and inhibit BST-2 glycosylation, resulting in the subsequent loss of BST-2 antiviral function.
