Anwendungen
Natriumpyrophosphat wird in Wasserenthärtern, Reinigungsmitteln, Emulgatoren, Metallreinigern und Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln verwendet. Es dient als Puffermittel, Verdickungsmittel und Dispergiermittel. Es dient auch als Tartarkontrollmittel in Zahnpasta und Zahnseide. Darüber hinaus wird es in antimikrobiellen Studien als Chelatbildner eingesetzt. Es wird auch als Lebensmittelzusatzstoff in allgemeinen Lebensmitteln wie Hähnchen-Nuggets, Krabbenfleisch und Thunfischkonserven verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Wasserlöslich. Unlöslich in Ethylalkohol.

Hinweise
