Anwendungen
Sulfathiazol ist ein kurzwirkendes antimikrobielles topisches Sulfa-Medikament. Blockiert die Synthese von Dihydrofolsäure durch Hemmung des Enzyms Dihydropteroat-Synthase und hemmt die Folsäure-Synthese in Prokaryoten. Wirkt gegen grampositive, gramnegative und chlamydiale Bakterien. Wird auch als häufiger oraler und topischer antimikrobieller Wirkstoff verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Schwer löslich in Wasser, deuteriertem Dimethylsulfoxid und Ethanol. Löslich in Aceton, verdünnten Mineralsäuren, Kaliumhydroxidlösung, Natriumhydroxidlösung, Ammoniakwasser, Dimethylsulfoxid und Methanol.

Hinweise
Halten Sie den Behälter dicht verschlossen. Kühl und trocken in einem gut versiegelten Behälter lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
