Terbium Acetate has important role as an activator for green phosphors used in color TV tubes. Meanwhile Terbium Acetate is also used in special lasers and as a dopant in solid-state devices. Terbium is also used in alloys and in the production of electronic devices. As a component of Terfenol-D, Terbium is of use in actuators, in naval sonar systems, sensors, in the SoundBugdevice (its first commercial application), and other magnetomechanical devices. It is also used in alloys and in the production of electronic devices.
