Tetra-n-butylammonium hexafluorophosphate is used as a supporting electrolyte in nonaqueous electrochemistry. It is chemically inert, thereby allowing the usage as an inert electrolyte with potential range. It enhances the performance of single-layer organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Anwendungen
Tetra-n-Butylammoniumhexafluorophosphat wird als Stützelektrolyt in der nichtwässrigen Elektrochemie eingesetzt. Es ist chemisch inert und ermöglicht so die Verwendung als inerter Elektrolyt mit Potentialbereich. Es verbessert die Leistung von einschichtigen organischen Leuchtdioden (OLED).

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Aceton, Acetonitril und Tetrhydrofuran.

Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
