Beschreibung

Uric acid acts as a strong reducing agent (electron donors) and potent antioxidant. It is used as a precursor in cell culture systems and in cosmetics. Further, it is useful for serum-free medium supplement. In addition to this, it is used as a reagent in the determination of uricase and tungstate.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Anwendungen
Harnsäure wirkt als starkes Reduktionsmittel (Elektronenspender) und potentes Antioxidans. Sie wird als Vorläufer in Zellkultursystemen und in Kosmetika verwendet. Außerdem ist sie für die serumfreie Mediumergänzung nützlich. Darüber hinaus wird sie als Reagenz bei der Bestimmung von Uricase und Wolframat verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in 1M-Natriumhydroxidlösung. Schwer in Wasser löslich. Unlöslich in Äther und Alkohol.

Hinweise
Stabil. Nicht kompatibel mit anderen Materialien wie Säuren, Basen und Oxidationsmitteln.
