Description

Widely used as antioxidant in fuels, lubricants and polymers. Employed as a synthetic intermediate for the production of higher molecular weight phenolic antioxidants. Used as an oxidation inhibitor and stabilizer (e.g. for fuel, oil and gasoline) and also used in plastics and rubber. Also applied as an intermediate and an antioxidant in aviation gasoline.

Anwendungen
Wird häufig als Antioxidans in Kraftstoffen, Schmierstoffen und Polymeren verwendet. Wird als synthetisches Zwischenprodukt für die Produktion von Phenolantioxidantien mit höherem Molekulargewicht eingesetzt. Wird als Oxidationshemmer und Stabilisator (z. B. für Kraftstoff, Öl und Benzin) und auch in Kunststoffen und Gummi verwendet. Auch als Zwischenprodukt und als Antioxidans in der Flugzeugtreibstoffen.

Löslichkeit
Wasserlöslich bei 20 °C, 0.003 g/l. Die Löslichkeit in Methanol ist nahezu transparent.
