4-Aminohippuric Acid is used in the measurement of renal plasma flow as a diagnostic tool which may be applied towards kidney disorders. It is used as muscle relaxant (smooth). It is also used to help differentiate and characterized organic anion transporter (OAT) isoforms.
Solubility
Soluble in alcohol, chloroform, benzene, and acetone. Insoluble in water, ether, carbon, and tetrachloride.

Store at -20°C. Light sensitive. Air sensitive. Always store away from incompatible compounds such as oxidizing agents.
