Description
4-Aminophenol is used as a dye for textiles, hair, furs and feathers. It is also used as a photographic developer. It finds application as a chemical intermediate in pharmaceuticals and dyes. Further, it acts as a final intermediate in the preparation of paracetamol.

4-Aminophenol wird als Farbstoff für Textilien, Haare, Pelze und Federn verwendet. Es wird auch als Fotoentwickler verwendet. Es findet Anwendung als chemisches Zwischenprodukt in Pharmazeutika und Farbstoffen. Darüber hinaus fungiert es als Endstufe bei der Vorbereitung von Paracetamol.
Löslichkeit
Löslich in Acetonitril, Ethylacetat, Aceton, heißem Wasser, Dimethylsulfoxid und Alkalien. Schwer löslich in Toluol, Diethylether, Ethanol, Trifluoressigsäure und Kaltwasser. Unlöslich in Benzol und Chloroform.
