(+)-alpha-Pinene is employed in the preparation of chiral hydroboration reagents. It is a bronchodilator in humans. α-Pinene is an anti-inflammatory and used as a broad-spectrum antibiotic.It exhibits activity as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, aiding memory. It is a biosynthetic base for CB2 ligands, such as HU-308.

Anwendungen
(+)-alpha-Pinen wird bei der Herstellung chiraler Hydroborationsreagenzien verwendet. Es dient bei Menschen als Bronchodilatator. α-Pinen ist entzündungshemmend und wird als Breitbandantibiotikum verwendet. Es wirkt als Acetylcholinesterase-Inhibitor und unterstützt das Gedächtnis. Es ist eine biosynthetische Basis für CB2-Liganden, wie z. B. HU-308.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Äther, Alkoholen und Chloroform. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Inkompatible Materialien sind starke Oxidationsmittel. Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten.
