D-Serine is involved in the biosynthesis of purines, pyrimidines, and other amino acids. D-Serine also is an agonist of glycine site of the NMDA-type glutamate receptor. It also acts as Lacosamide intermediate.

Anwendungen
D-Serin ist an der Biosynthese von Purinen, Pyrimidinen und anderen Aminosäuren beteiligt. D-Serin ist auch ein Agonist der Glycin-Stelle des Glutamatrezeptors vom NMDA-Typ. Sie wirkt auch als Lacosamid-Zwischenprodukt.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser (346 mg/ml bei 20 °C) und Mineralsäuren. Unlöslich in Alkohol, Äther und Benzol.

Hinweise
Bei 4 °C lagern. Nicht in der Nähe von Oxidationsmitteln lagern. Behälter beim Nichtgebrauch verschlossen halten.
