Ethyl 4-aminobenzoate is used as an anesthetic and utilized for topical pain reliever. It is mixed with antipyrine to get A/B otic drops, which is used in the removal of earwax as well as relieve ear from pain. It exhibits analgesic and antipruritic effect mainly used for wounds, ulcers, mucosal surfaces and hemorrhoids narcotic pain. Further, it is a main constituent of anesthetic ointments. In addition to this, it is effective to toothache, sore throat, oral ulcers, hemorrhoids and anal fissure.

Anwendungen
Ethyl-4-Aminobenzoat wird als Betäubungsmittel und für topische Schmerzmittel verwendet. Es wird mit Antipyrin gemischt, um A/B-otische Tropfen zu erhalten, die bei der Entfernung von Ohrenwachs sowie bei der Linderung von Schmerzen im Ohr verwendet werden. Es zeigt analgetische und antipruritische Wirkung und wird hauptsächlich für Wunden, Geschwüre, Schleimhautoberflächen und narkotische Schmerzen bei Hämorrhoiden verwendet. Darüber hinaus ist es ein Hauptbestandteil von Narkosesalben. Darüber hinaus ist es wirksam für Zahnschmerzen, Halsschmerzen, Mundgeschwüre, Hämorrhoiden und Analfissur.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Ethanol, Chloroform, Ethylether und verdünnten Säuren. Kaum lösliches in Wasser.
