Pentafluorophenol is used in the preparation of pentafluorophenyl esters for peptide synthesis and vulcanized polymers. It is also used for peptide coupling and heterocyclic acid derivatives. It is involved in the preparation of pentafluorophenyl formate which acts as a formulating agent for amines and amino acids.

Anwendungen
Pentafluorphenol wird bei der Herstellung von Pentafluorphenylestern für die Peptidsynthese und für vulkanisierte Polymere verwendet. Es wird auch für die Peptidkupplung und für heterozyklische Säurederivate verwendet. Es ist an der Herstellung von Pentafluorphenylformin beteiligt, das als Formulierungsmittel für Amine und Aminosäuren dient.

Wasserlöslich.

Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, Basen, sauren Chloriden und sauren Anhydriden.
