Terephthalic acid is used in the metal organic frame works. Terephthalic acid is used primarily to make polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins and fibers, polyester fibers, films, polyethylene terephthalate solid-state resins and polyethylene terephthalate engineering resins.

Anwendungen
Terephthalsäure wird in organischen Metallrahmenwerken verwendet. Terephthalsäure wird hauptsächlich zur Herstellung von Polyethylenterephthalat-Harzen und -fasern (PET), Polyesterfasern, Folien, Polyethylenterephthalat-Festkörperharzen und Polyethylenterephthalat-Technikharzen verwendet.

Schwer löslich in Wasser (0,017 g/l bei 25 °C)

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Es sollte in geschmolzener Form gelagert und verwendet werden.
