Beschreibung

Rosolic acid is used as a pH indicator in the range from 5.0 to 6.8. It acts as an intermediate in the manufacturing dyes. It is involved in the activation of heme oxygenase and in the inhibition of DNA fragmentation. It finds application in the selective isolation of coliform bacteria.

Anwendungen
Rosolsäure wird als pH-Indikator im Bereich von 5.0 bis 6.8 verwendet. Es fungiert als Zwischenprodukt in der Herstellung von Farbstoffen. Es ist an der Aktivierung der Hämoxygenase und an der Hemmung der DNA-Fragmentierung beteiligt. Es findet Anwendung in der selektiven Isolierung von Coliformbakterien.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Alkohol, Natriumhydroxid, Kaliumhydroxid und starken Säuren. Unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
